The last class of English I expect to have at the university

Finally! Is the last blog I have to do!
I don't like doing blogs because I don't like talking about myself, and sometimes the themes are very boring and I can't reach the words I'm asked to write, and is a little stressing.
Anyway, I'm very glad because I think the english course at university isn't very good. That is because I have not learned much and most of what I have learned is useless for what I am studying, because is very basic and only for comunicate in formal english. I mean, I haven't learn how to buy things, so if I go to US I would be able to talk about my family but I will starve and sleep in the streets jajaja.

Besides, since our fist year we've been forced to read texts and papers in english, so if you don't understand english you are a little screwed up.

One of my worst problems when I'm talking in english is that I speak spanglish (once I said notes instead of grades jajaja ups) but I think that is because I confuse both in my head, and sadly, I haven't improve in this area.

I actually use lot the english in my life, because I have two nieces in US and they speak spanglish, so I need to know a little in the attempt of undestanding what they are saying.
Also I love listening english pop music and I like to understand what I'm singing (even when I'm a very bad singer and I do it only in private because is a embarrassing situtation) and when I see and listen netflix, because sometimes I'm doing something else and I can only hear the movie, so I need to get well what they are saying in order to understand the movie.

    I agree with you about we have learned some useless things :( We have to learn read english books!

    I agree with you that the english that we're teached in university is really basic sometimes and a little bit useless for real life situations

    spanglish is the better language today! a mix between english and latino culture hahaha, the musicians of america knows a lot of spanglish

    I laughed a lot about "if you go to the USA you will know how to talk about your family, but not how to buy by starving to death and sleeping in the street". I agree with the need to modify the contents delivered by the chair!

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to talk about what I wanted to be when I was younger. For a very long time, when I was at school, I wanted to be an astrophysic. A country I'd like to visit

A country I would like to go is Spain. About 4 years ago I traveled to Europe with my aunt and we knew a lot of countries, and definitely what I liked the most was Spain. I was in Toledo, Madrid and Barcelona. Spain is between France and Portugal and I really loved there. I think is a good place to live for a lot of reasons, first, i don't need to learn new languages because they speak spanish as I. Also I love that is close to other countries, so I can travel for a weekend to another country. But first, I need to know best Spain, it has a lot of history (the good one, no the colonization of America) and so many beautiful places to visit. For example in Spain is the Sagrada Familia, Almagro, Monastery of Monserrat, and I don't know I think that even the most normal places for the people that lives there are impresive to me (maybe because I love the country)     I know politics aren't very good there, but I'm studying public administration so I guess I can...

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to talk about something that definitly changed my life... the career I'm studying As you know, I'm studying public administration at Universidad de Chile, and I'm very happy because this was my only option and the one university I wanted to get in, so I guess I got what I wanted. I chose it like two months before the PSU, so it was a very fast choice. I chose this career because my mom and my aunt works in the bureaucracy, so I grew up knowing this world. Also, I wanted to study something related with social sciences, and I thought this was a good idea.  I didn´t knew very much about this career because no one in my family or related to us studied public administration, so I got in knowing very little about what I was getting to, anyweay, I made a good decision because I really love it.
